B. English Panel Development
To foster a love for English and maximize teaching effectiveness, our school seamlessly integrates e-learning platforms such as iSolution, WordWall, Kahoot!, Padlet, Plickers, Canva and AI to enhance self-directed learning, in-class activities, and extended study. We adopt a vibrant blend of interactive methodologies, including role-plays, collaborative pair work, educational games, songs, and other activities. Furthermore, we promote a strong reading culture both at school and at home through an engaging digital library featuring diverse fiction and non-fiction titles. The iSolution e-book platform provides stimulating interactive activities and audio support for parents, while the AI online learning platform systematically challenges P1–P6 students to elevate their speaking and other practical skills. Committed to nurturing active learners, we organize an array of enriching experiences—such as English Fun Days, World Book Day, Chinese Culture Week, and various weekday and weekend enrichment classes—alongside external competitions to build students’ confidence and English competency.
C. Strengths and Characteristics
Our Native-speaking English Teachers (NETs)—Miss Kommal, Miss Rachel, and Miss Lovejeet—nurture a language-rich environment at our school. In Key Stage 1 (KS1), we implement the EDB NET Scheme’s PLP-R/W Programme, which takes a holistic approach to balancing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. For P1 and P2 students, our comprehensive Phonics curriculum accelerates early language development by strengthening pronunciation, word recognition, and spelling. To keep students engaged and communicative, our NETs provide a weekly routine that includes shared reading sessions every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, interactive English games every week, and targeted speaking training four times a week.
